“A modern approach to a traditional art form” is how terry graziano describes her signature line of soft, drapeable fabric hats. “I often begin with classic millinery shapes and then put them in motion.” The results of her kinetic imagination are women’s hats that can change silhouette and mood at the wearer’s whim. Buttons, drawstrings, pleats, tucks and folds – these are the deceptively simple features that, when manipulated, allow one hat to provide several different looks, often ranging from sophisticated to edgy. When combined with a woman’s imagination, the possibilities are endless. “For me, it’s all about flexibility. A shirt, a skirt, a pair of pants: these can be worn many ways – why should hats be any different?” Knowing that many other women feel the same, terry set out to provide them with a tool to express their individuality and to inspire their own creativity. She designs small and incredibly versatile capsule collections, while personally handmaking each hat with great care and attention to detail. All terry graziano hats are made from luxurious fabrics in a variety of rich textures and hues. Fully lined in iridescent silk, they are adjustable for head size and shape to create a custom fit, and may be folded for ease of packing and storage.
